Telchar Origin

In chapter 6 of “The Two Towers” (the second book of the Tolkien trilogy “The Lord of the Rings) we first hear of Aragorn’s precious sword named Narsil – “the Blade that was Broken and has been made again.”

This was a sword forged by Telchar most renowned of the smiths of Nogrod. Telchar was famed as the maker of the sword Angrist which was used in the decisive battle.

Telchar gives us an image of the ultimate goal of a consultant, a product of quality and character that has lasting value, that transcends the life of the maker (assignment) and continues to serve succeeding generations. A fitting imagery of what we strive to accomplish.
