IUA provides resources to the urban church in the largest cities of the world through its international network of church and mission leaders. A former inner city pastor, Ray co-founded the Seminary Consortium for Urban Pastoral education (SCUPE). Since 1979, he has served as Senior Associate for Large Cities with the Lausanne Committee for World Evangelism. Dr. Bakke has personally led or served as a major resource leader for urban ministry consultations in more than 200 large cities on six continents. His latest book is The Urban Christian.
