Lindy also works in an holistic ministry with La Comunidad de Jesus Church and La Roca Community Center in a poor barrio of Mexico City. He was on the steering committee for the Christian Leaders' Consultation in Mexico City in 1993 and is part of the planning team for the Latin Urban Thinktank to be held in 1995. He founded the publishing house "Editorial Kyrios" which is dedicated to publishing works by Latin American Christian writers. He earned his doctorate at Northwestern University and his dissertation "Salt of the Earth: A Socio-Political History of Mexico City Evangelical Protestants (1964-1991)" has since been published. He and wife Dinorah have three children.
Lindy and Dinorah have accepted teaching positions at Wheaton College starting in the fall of 1995.
